Microsoft Dynamics CRM : System view

In an old post, I described how to create a personnal view in the CRM. In this one, I will demonstrate how to create a system view.
A system view is shared with all the user of the CRM. One of them is the default view.
To add a view, go to “Settings / Customize the system”, slect the entity and click on “Views”:
System view - 1
You have different type of view :
  • Public View : place on the main ribbon / Only one public default view
  • Quick find view : View by default when you make a quick search on the main navigation
  • Advanced find view : View by default (“new”) in the result view in advanced find
  • Associated view : Place on the relation form entity
  • Lookup view : View by default for the “Request” Lookup
Click on “New” to create a new system view:

In the CRM, you have a new system view. Please note that the system view and the custom view are not in the same category :System view - 7
Hope this post helps you ! :)

If you want to manage your view, you can use the tool View Layout Replicator developped by Tanguy Touzard. It's a great tool to make uniform your views.
